The devastating wildfires in and around Los Angeles have been fully contained. This was announced by the fire department. According to official estimates, the "Palisades" fire on the western edge of Los Angeles and the "Eaton" fire near Pasadena and Altadena have destroyed more than 16,200 buildings. The number of confirmed deaths is 29.

The wildfire broke out on January 7. Firefighters worked for weeks to contain the fires, which were repeatedly fanned by strong winds.
