A 56-year-old female e-bike rider was hit by a car in Netstal GL on Thursday and sustained undetermined injuries. She had to be flown by Rega to the University Hospital in Zurich.

The woman was presumably traveling from Glarus on the sidewalk when the collision occurred on the country road near Wiggispark, the Glarus cantonal police wrote on Friday.

At the wheel of the car involved in the accident was a 35-year-old man who wanted to turn into the country road from the Bühl district. There was a collision immediately after the car pulled away. The police are now investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
