An earthquake has struck in Tuscany. According to the Italian Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), it had a magnitude of 4.1.

The strongest tremors were registered at around 9.40 a.m. in the region of Pistoia, a town of 90,000 inhabitants. The tremors were also felt in Florence, the capital of Tuscany, 35 kilometers away. No major damage was initially reported. Tuscany is one of the most popular vacation regions in Italy.
