SRF is focusing even more strongly on "primetime" television, i.e. the main evening from 7.00 pm. This will result in a redesign of the early evening program on SRF 1, according to a statement on Wednesday. From August, purchased entertainment formats "- in particular factuals -" will be shown between 18:00 and 19:00 in addition to the moderated newsflash and "Mini Chuchi, dini Chuchi".

SRF will continue to report on social issues in the future. To this end, part of the current "G&G" team will produce corresponding content for various programs and online offerings. These adjustments to the early evening program will save SRF a good CHF 2 million a year and reduce around 20 full-time positions in editorial and production, the statement continued.
