Shortly after midnight on New Year's Eve, there was a fatal argument between several men in Wiesbaden D. A 23-year-old died from stab wounds and a 22-year-old was seriously injured.

This was announced by the police and public prosecutor's office in the Hessian state capital on Thursday. Two suspects aged 22 were arrested.
The incident took place in the Wiesbaden-Mitte district and the police described it as a "physical altercation between several people". Investigations into the background and course of events are currently underway. Further details could not yet be provided, the investigators explained.
The police received a report at around 00.10 a.m. that someone had been stabbed and emergency services were dispatched. The 23-year-old died at the scene, the 22-year-old was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The two suspects were arrested "as part of the intensive search measures", it was reported.
