Storm Federal Councillor Cassis arrives in the landslide area in Misox GR
Federal Councillor Ignazio Cassis arrived in the landslide area in the southern Graubünden valley of Misox on Sunday afternoon. The President of the Graubünden cantonal government Jon Domenic Parolini (center) and the President of the Ticino cantonal government Christian Vitta (FDP) are also on site.

Federal Councillor Cassis spoke to the media of a "sad day" for the affected municipalities, the cantons of Graubünden and Ticino and the whole of Switzerland. He expressed his solidarity.
He hoped that the situation would stabilize quickly - also with regard to the north-south connection. His thoughts were with the three missing persons and the injured. He was pleased that everyone involved had acted so quickly and professionally.
After the media conference in Roveredo GR, an inspection is planned in Sorte GR, just under nine kilometers to the north. A landslide occurred in the district of the municipality of Lostallo GR on Friday evening after heavy thunderstorms and persistent downpours.
A cone of debris buried three houses and initially four people. On Saturday morning, the emergency services were able to rescue a woman from the cone of rubble and fly her to hospital. The three other people, a couple and a woman, are still being searched for.
