Following the fire disaster in Crans-Montana VS, the first four fatalities have been identified. According to the police, they are two Swiss women aged 21 and 16 and two Swiss men aged 16 and 18.

After the victims were identified, their bodies were handed over to their families, as the Valais cantonal police announced on Saturday.

The extensive identification work carried out over the past few hours by the Valais cantonal police, the DVI (Disaster Victim Identification) and the Institute of Forensic Medicine has made it possible to identify four victims so far.

The investigations and identification procedures in relation to the other victims, both deceased and injured, are continuing intensively. The Valais cantonal police want to communicate new information as soon as possible. Out of respect for the relatives, no further information will be provided at this time.

The fire at the "Le Constellation" bar claimed 40 lives and injured 119 people, according to the latest statement released by the Valais authorities on Friday.
