A fisherman discovered a dead person at the hydropower plant in Wettingen in the canton of Aargau on Sunday morning. The deceased was a 67-year-old woman who had been missing since September 28. A police diver died during the search operation at the time.

As announced by the Zurich cantonal police on Monday, the Aargau cantonal police recovered the dead woman from the Wettingen hydroelectric power plant trash rack. Further investigations into the woman's death are being conducted by the Aargau cantonal police and the Baden public prosecutor's office.

In connection with the case, the Zurich cantonal police carried out a search operation in the Limmat near Dietikon ZH on Sunday, September 28. A 44-year-old police diver got into difficulties in front of the weir of the power plant. He was later recovered dead by other police divers.

Earlier, a passer-by reported to the police operations center that he had seen a person in the water in the canal in front of the power plant in Dietikon. The person had called for help and then went under.
