This is CHF 15,000 more than in the previous year. His successor, Martin Schlegel, received slightly more at CHF 1.001 million.

All members of the SNB Governing Board receive the same gross salary of CHF 0.971 million, as can be seen from the annual report published on Tuesday. The difference between Jordan and his successor Schlegel results only from the other compensation.

Including social security contributions, the salary of the former SNB Chairman amounted to CHF 1.178 million, the annual report continues. Jordan was replaced by Schlegel as head of the SNB Governing Board on October 1, 2024. This amounted to 1.276 million including social security contributions.
