Skiing accident German skier dies after a fall in Arosa GR

A German skier fell so badly on a ski slope in Arosa GR that he succumbed to his injuries in hospital. The 58-year-old lost control of his skis last Tuesday as he was approaching a crossing with a pedestrian path.

As the Graubünden cantonal police reported on Thursday, third parties provided first aid to the seriously injured man and alerted the rescue services. The piste rescue team, three female doctors who were skiing and a Rega crew provided the man with medical care and resuscitated him. He was then flown to the Graubünden Cantonal Hospital, where he died on Wednesday night.
