The travel company Globetrotter achieved a turnover of 205 million Swiss francs in 2025. This is slightly more than in the previous year - despite a significant decline in business in the USA.

Specifically, turnover rose by 1.5 percent, as detailed in the press release issued on Wednesday. This is despite the fact that bookings for the USA fell by around a quarter in 2025. "Many Swiss people probably wanted to set an example," said Chairman of the Board of Directors André Lüthi.
However, the Globetrotter Group was able to make up for the decline in other countries. For example, business in southern Africa, Japan and South Korea grew at double-digit rates. There were also no declines in Canada.
There are signs that the situation in US travel is easing again in 2026. In addition, the Group's language schools, study trips and bike adventures have become more popular in the past year.
However, the pre-pandemic sales level remains unattained. Globetrotter reported annual sales of 242 million Swiss francs for 2019. The Group does not disclose profit figures.
With regard to the current situation, the company's Chairman of the Board of Directors is cautious. "We are concerned about the current geopolitical situation, which, depending on developments, will have an impact on travel behavior worldwide," he writes.
The Globetrotter Group consists of 12 companies and employs around 370 people.
