Whistleblower Adam Quadroni will not receive any compensation from the Graubünden government. According to the executive, there is no legal basis for this. However, because his situation was classified as a case of hardship, the government is waiving outstanding claims.

The classification as a hardship case enables the authorities to waive outstanding claims against Quadroni, as Graubünden's Finance Director Martin Bühler (FDP) explained to the media in Chur on Tuesday.
This means that the authorities will not issue any further debt collection orders or certificates of loss against Quadroni. Bühler did not want to say how much money was involved. This is not possible for reasons of personal privacy.
According to Bühler, there is no national or cantonal legal basis for financial compensation in the millions, as demanded by Quadroni's legal representative and the initiators of an online petition. The authorities also relied on the decision of the National Council, which in spring 2024 once again rejected the creation of a legal framework to protect whistleblowers.
