Jacques Mauron is no longer head of Groupe E, the energy supplier in French-speaking Switzerland, with immediate effect. The Board of Directors and Mauron have jointly decided that a change at the top is necessary, the company announced on Friday.

Upcoming organizational changes and future challenges in the energy sector are cited as the background to the decision. Mauron had been CEO since 2019 and had been with the company since 2004. Alain Sapin - previously Head of the Electrical Energy division - will now take over as CEO on an interim basis.
