Accordingly, sales fell by 1.4 percent to 6.4 billion Swiss francs in the 2024 financial year, the Liechtenstein-based company announced on Friday. Negative currency effects weighed on sales with -2.9 percentage points, meaning that Hilti would still have grown by 1.5 percent in local currencies.
CEO Jahangir Doongaji expressed confidence in the press release. Hilti has made "good progress" in implementing its strategic priorities in 2024. The manufacturer of the famous red drilling machines is also investing "significantly" in the future.
For the new year 2025, Hilti expects a similar market environment and comparable sales growth in local currencies. Hilti will announce its detailed annual results on March 14.
