Construction equipment manufacturer Hilti has once again suffered from the strong Swiss franc in 2025. Accordingly, sales fell by 2.1 percent to 6.3 billion Swiss francs, as the Liechtenstein-based company announced on Tuesday.

Negative currency effects weighed on sales by 4.0 percentage points, meaning that Hilti would still have grown by 1.9 percent in local currencies. Hilti's own financial target - namely sales growth in local currencies in the low single-digit percentage range - was thus met.

Very different regions

Regional developments varied greatly: In Europe, the largest region, sales in local currencies declined by 1.9 percent. Meanwhile, the Americas recorded a significant increase of 9.3 percent.

In the Asia/Pacific region, the trend in local currencies remained negative at minus 2.1 percent, while the Eastern Europe/Middle East/Africa region recorded strong growth of 12.9 percent.

The Group will announce its detailed annual results on March 13.
