Two hot air balloons have crashed in the Turkish province of Aksaray. At least one person was killed and 19 people were injured, the state broadcaster TRT reported. The deceased is said to be a balloon pilot.

The accident took place during a flight that began in the Ihlara Valley in the Cappadocia region, which is popular with tourists. The region attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world every year. The cause of the crash was initially unknown.
