Russia has once again hit Ukraine with heavy air strikes during the night.

In the large city of Kharkiv in north-eastern Ukraine, 19 people were injured by an impact, wrote the mayor Ihor Terekhov on Telegram. According to him, the city was hit by a converted S-400 anti-aircraft missile.

According to the regional administration, a child was injured and infrastructure facilities and residential buildings were damaged in the south-eastern Ukrainian region of Zaporizhia. Governor Ivan Fedorov wrote of a massive drone attack during the night.

According to Ukrainian military observers, Russian troops also advanced further into the Donetsk region during the night and captured two villages. Ukraine has been defending itself against a large-scale Russian invasion for more than two and a half years with Western help, but is currently under heavy pressure.
