The injured were taken by helicopter to a hospital on the island of Rhodes for medical treatment. None of them are in mortal danger and the exact circumstances of the incident are being investigated, Greek radio reported.

Frontex supports Greece in the Aegean Sea, among other things in monitoring the EU's external borders and in measures to control irregular migration.
