Several people have been arrested in Israel on suspicion of leaking secret information from the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. This was unanimously reported by Israeli media after an investigating judge partially lifted a gag order on the case. The disclosure of secret information could jeopardize Israel's war aims in the Gaza Strip, the report continued.

Netanyahu's office rejected media reports that employees of his office were among those arrested. The head of government called for the gag order to be lifted immediately. "It only serves as a cover for the malicious and deliberate denigration of the office of the Prime Minister," the government press office announced.

According to media reports, the Israeli domestic intelligence service Shin Bet, the army and the police were involved in the investigation.
