At least nine people have been injured as a result of a Ukrainian drone attack on the Russian-occupied Black Sea peninsula of Crimea, according to Russian reports. A five-storey residential building in the port city of Sevastopol was severely damaged by a drone that was shot down, head of administration Mikhail Rasvoshayev announced on Telegram.
The drone, which crashed near the house, was filled with metal bullets and explosives, Razvozhayev added. Six of the injured, including three children, were taken to hospital with cuts. The information could not be independently verified. No details were given about possible hits on military installations.
The Russian occupation administration for the Kherson region in southern Ukraine announced that two people had been killed and twelve injured by a Ukrainian drone attack in the village of Oleshky.
During the night, Russian drone attacks mainly hit the Ukrainian industrial city of Kryvyi Rih. According to the regional authorities, around 30 buildings were damaged there.
Ukraine has been defending itself against a large-scale Russian war of aggression for more than four years. It is therefore also attacking targets in its Russian-occupied territories and in Russia itself.
