The target of the combat drones was the Unetsha pumping station in the western Russian region of Bryansk, as the commander of the Ukrainian drone force, Robert Bowdi, announced on Telegram.
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto wrote on Facebook that the flow of oil to Hungary had been interrupted. He spoke of a further attack on his country's energy security. An attack on another pumping station on the Druzhba (Friendship) pipeline had already halted the supply on Monday; it was restored on Tuesday.
Tense relations between Kiev and Budapest
"48 hours to repair" wrote Bowdi this time, adding in Hungarian: "Russians, get lost!" Relations between neighbors Hungary and Ukraine are tense. From Kiev's point of view, the Hungarian leadership of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán maintains too close contact with Moscow and is blocking Ukraine's accession process to the EU. Hungary is complaining about Ukraine's blockade of energy imports from Russia.
