At the request of a member state, former German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock will have to take part in a secret ballot to be elected President of the UN General Assembly. This was confirmed by a UN spokeswoman to the German Press Agency in New York. According to diplomatic sources, the country in question is Russia.
