US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has described the Iranian missile attack on Israel as "completely unacceptable". This is the second time in five months that Iran has launched a direct attack on Israel. "The whole world should condemn this", he said on Wednesday (local time) before a meeting with his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in Washington.

Israel had successfully repelled the attack with the active support of the USA and other allies. "We have once again demonstrated our commitment to the defense of Israel," Blinken continued. The US government will remain in close contact with Israel and other partners in the region.
