The injured woman in the SUV is said to be his wife. In July 2022, over 50 Ukrainian prisoners of war were killed in an explosion in the prison and several dozen were injured.
At the time, Kiev accused the Russian occupiers of deliberately murdering the prisoners. Moscow claimed that the prisoner barracks had been deliberately targeted by the Ukrainian side with a missile from the Himar rocket launcher system. However, a United Nations report ruled out this possibility.
Ukraine has been defending itself against a Russian invasion for over two and a half years. Ukrainian secret services have already carried out several attacks on Ukrainian collaborators and Russian occupation representatives.
