"Overcoming difficulties"

Beijing hopes that the government and people of Iran can overcome the current difficulties and maintain national stability. At the same time, the spokesperson emphasized in response to questions from journalists that China was monitoring the situation closely. There have been no reports of Chinese citizens being injured or killed so far.

China and Iran have maintained a close economic and strategic partnership for years, which is primarily characterized by trade and energy relations, including the export of Iranian oil to China.
