Politics China hopes everyone will take part in Ukraine talks
China has spoken positively about talks on the Ukraine war, but has also called for other negotiating parties to be involved.

The People's Republic is pleased with all efforts to achieve peace, including the consensus reached by the USA and Russia on peace talks, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun in Beijing.
China looks forward to the timely participation of all parties and interest groups in the peace talks process, he said, without mentioning Ukraine in particular. The foreign ministers of the USA and Russia, Marco Rubio and Sergey Lavrov, are speaking in the Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh today. Ukraine and EU representatives will not be present.
According to Guo, China had always believed in negotiations as the only way to resolve the "crisis". China is considered Russia's most important ally because Beijing has not yet condemned Moscow's war of aggression against Ukraine and is thus backing the Kremlin.
