According to media reports, a hospital in the south of the country has also been hit in a massive Iranian missile attack on Israel. A rocket hit the Soroka Clinic in the desert town of Beersheva, according to several media reports. Severe damage was reported, particularly in the area of a surgical department. According to initial reports, only a few people were slightly injured.

The volley of more than 20 rockets also hit other places in Israel, including the greater Tel Aviv area. In total, at least 25 people were injured. Three were seriously injured and rescued from the rubble.

Israeli Health Minister Uriel Buso described the attack on the hospital in Beersheva as a "terrorist attack that crossed a red line". It was "a war crime committed by the Iranian regime, deliberately targeting innocent civilians and medical personnel dedicated to saving lives". According to the hospital, the Shiba Hospital near Tel Aviv was also hit and slightly damaged by a falling missile.

The department that was hit was only evacuated the day before

The Israeli news portal "ynet" reported that one of the damaged buildings in Soroka Hospital had been evacuated on Wednesday. "Fortunately, we evacuated one of the departments yesterday - otherwise it would no longer exist," said a hospital employee. "The ceiling fell on us, the shock wave threw me away. Until you experience something like that yourself, you don't believe it can happen." Many hospitals have moved their patients to underground shelters.

The Israeli army called on people to take temporary shelter during the attack. It spoke on Telegram of falling debris, and search and rescue forces were deployed in several places in the country.

Meanwhile, the Tasnim news agency, which is close to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, claimed that the target was not a clinic but an Israeli military base.
