Due to the EU's asylum and migration pact, Switzerland must amend five laws in connection with the Schengen/Dublin agreements. The SVP is fundamentally opposed. The FDP and the Center Party support the revision. The left-green party is calling for humanitarian improvements.

The SVP rejects the amendments to the five laws on further development in the Schengen/Dublin area. In particular, it categorically opposes any participation in the solidarity measures in the EU asylum and migration pact.

The FDP finds the pact sensible and calls on the Federal Council to examine voluntary participation in measures to manage migration and prevent secondary movements. The Center Party does not rule out participation in the solidarity mechanism. Like the Greens, the SP is calling for improvements.

Refugee Aid is calling for Switzerland to make use of its leeway, especially when it comes to accepting people in need of protection in the solidarity mechanism of the EU pact.
