A night-time Russian drone attack on the Ukrainian industrial city of Dnipro has left at least two people dead, according to the authorities. A further nine people, including two children, were injured, Governor Olexander Hansha announced on Telegram. The victims lived in a 13-storey residential building. The building burned out on several floors after the drone strike.
In total, the region was attacked around 20 times, Hanscha wrote. In addition to the regional capital of Dnipro, the Nikopol district, where a 64-year-old woman was injured, and the large city of Kryvyi Rih were also hit. An infrastructure object was damaged in a fire there.
Ukraine has been defending itself against the Russian invasion of the country for more than four years.
