At least four people have been killed in Russian bomb attacks in the south-eastern Ukrainian city of Zaporizhia. A further 18 were injured, according to Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko. A search for further victims is underway under the rubble of a multi-storey residential building. According to the authorities, five Russian glide bombs hit the industrial city, which is a good 30 kilometers from the front line.

In the neighboring eastern Ukrainian region of Donetsk, artillery shells hit several residential buildings in the village of Mykolaivka. "Two people were killed and five were injured," Governor Vadym Filashkin announced on Telegram. He once again called on residents of the area to seek safety due to the nearby front line.

Ukraine has been defending itself against a Russian invasion for over two and a half years. Russian troops are occupying large parts of the Zaporizhia and Donetsk regions.
