One person has been killed and four others injured in an attack in the Israeli port city of Haifa, according to the Magen David Adom rescue service.

According to the information, a man with a knife attacked people at a central bus station. The attacker was shot dead.

According to the emergency services, the dead man was around 70 years old. A teenager was seriously injured. According to the Israeli news portal "ynet", a police spokesman said that the attacker was an Israeli Arab.
