Damage was caused to four apartment buildings and twelve single-family homes, a paint shop, a warehouse and several social facilities, he wrote. According to the internet portal "Astra", fires broke out near an aircraft factory with a runway.

According to official information, six people were also injured in the Russian region of Krasnodar. The region was subjected to one of the longest and most massive drone attacks, wrote Governor Wenjamin Kondratjew. The port city of Novorossiysk, a base of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, was hit particularly hard. Four people were injured here alone and several residential buildings were hit.

Kiev confirms attacks

The Kiev General Staff confirmed attacks with drones and cruise missiles on Taganrog, Novorossiysk and Krasnodar. According to the statement, the targets in Taganrog were an aircraft repair facility and a drone factory. According to the report, one aircraft was "probably" hit. Citing eyewitnesses, "Astra" reported that an aircraft was on fire.

According to the General Staff, the target in Novorossiysk was an oil terminal that Kiev's military had already attacked in the past. In Krasnodar, the Ukrainian armed forces reportedly targeted an oil refinery. The information cannot be verified independently.

Around 250 drones in use

According to the Russian military, it was one of the heaviest Ukrainian drone attacks since the start of the war. Although the Ministry of Defense in Moscow traditionally does not provide information on damage, it reported that a total of 249 drones were intercepted.

At the same time, Russia also fired on Ukraine. At least seven people were killed in the Ukrainian capital Kiev, Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced on Telegram. At least another 20 people were injured. In addition to drones, Russia also used ballistic missiles and cruise missiles.
