In the southern Russian city of Rostov, four people were injured in a Ukrainian attack, wrote the governor of the Rostov region, Yuri Slyussar, on Telegram. Fires had broken out in several apartments in multi-storey houses, and a dead man was found in one of them. Sljussar also spoke of two fires in the city's industrial area. The information cannot be independently verified.

In the Belgorod region, according to Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov, a woman was killed in the village of Sosuli in a Ukrainian drone attack. According to the report, a car was hit and the driver was injured. Late in the evening, a man was killed when a drone exploded in the town of Shebekino.

Russia targets energy infrastructure again

Russia once again targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure in freezing temperatures. According to military administration chief Olexander Vilkul, Moscow's armed forces attacked civilian infrastructure in the large city of Kryvyi Rih in south-eastern Ukraine in the evening and during the night.

According to the report, there were emergency power cuts for 45,000 customers, including district heating in more than 700 houses. In the morning, the situation had stabilized again, he wrote on Telegram.

Ukraine has been defending itself against a Russian invasion for almost four years. As part of its defensive campaign, it is also attacking targets in Russia. The number of victims and the extent of the damage is disproportionate to the devastating consequences of Russian attacks in Ukraine.
