The international summit is to be chaired by US President Donald Trump and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, as previously announced by the Foreign Ministry in Cairo. The participation of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz is also possible, as al-Sisi has invited him to a ceremony to mark the agreement. However, a trip by the chancellor has not yet been officially confirmed.

Macron wants to discuss security, governance and reconstruction at the meeting, according to the Élysée Palace. All of this should enable the stabilization of the region on the basis of the two-state solution.
