Estonia wants to purchase six multiple rocket launcher systems including ammunition from South Korea for almost 290 million euros to strengthen its defense capabilities. This was announced by the Estonian Defense Investment Center in Tallinn. Delivery of the self-propelled weapon systems to the Baltic EU and NATO country is set to begin in the second half of 2027.

"As multiple rocket launchers are invaluable from a military point of view, I am very pleased that we will now be acquiring the South Korean Chunmoo systems in addition to the US HIMARS systems. This significantly strengthens the deterrence and defense capabilities of both Estonia and NATO," said Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur.
Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine is seen in Estonia as a direct threat to national security. The government in Tallinn has therefore significantly increased military spending and is massively rearming the army.
