Estonia will support Ukraine with further military aid in the fight against Russia. The government of the Baltic EU and NATO state has decided to supply various types of ammunition, uniforms, observation devices and protective equipment. This was announced by the Ministry of Defense in Tallinn. No further details were given on the scope or value of the aid package.

The aid package had been put together from reserve stocks, taking into account the needs of Ukraine, without compromising Estonia's defense capability. "Soon 1,000 days will have passed in which Ukraine has managed to defend its freedom against an overpowering aggressor. Ukraine still needs help from Estonia and the free world to protect itself," said Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur.

Ukraine has been defending itself against the Russian invasion for more than two and a half years with Western help. Estonia, which borders Russia, is one of Kiev's staunchest supporters.
