Hungary has given up its months-long blockade of the planned billion-euro EU aid package for Ukraine. The government of outgoing Prime Minister Viktor Orban supported a decision in Brussels to allow a loan of up to 90 billion euros, several diplomats told the German Press Agency. In addition, a new package of Russia sanctions could also be launched - the formal decisions must be made in a written procedure, which should be completed this Thursday.
