The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is investigating the fatal shooting of children at a Catholic school as a possible act of terrorism. FBI Director Kash Patel announced on the X platform that they are investigating whether it was an act of domestic terrorism and a hate crime against Catholics.
During a school service in Minneapolis in the northern United States, a gunman shot at children in the pews through the windows of a church this morning (local time), according to police.
Two children aged 8 and 10 died. According to the FBI, 14 children and 3 adults were also injured. The suspected shooter is also dead. According to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, the suspect was a 22-year-old man who reportedly identified as a trans person. Transpersons are people who do not feel they belong to the gender they were assigned at birth.
