Chase with the police
Officers discovered seven people in the house in the town of Florence at around 2.50 a.m., the local police said. Four were no longer alive and three were taken to a hospital in Cincinnati in critical condition. The suspect engaged in a chase with police that ended when his car went off the road and crashed into a ditch.
The man had a gunshot wound and died in hospital, the police said. He had acted alone and there was no danger to the public.
