The Swiss Greens clearly rejected the halving initiative in Chur on Saturday. They said yes to individual taxation. The delegates also spoke out against the cash initiative and in favor of the counter-proposal to the cash initiative.

There was a clear yes to individual taxation. This would ensure that all spouses are treated equally by the tax authorities. This would make women and mothers in particular more financially independent and give them a better retirement provision," said St. Gallen National Councillor Franziska Ryser.

The delegates then voted unanimously against the SRG initiative. The party described the popular initiative, also known as the Halberungsinitiative, as an "anti-SRG initiative". It was dangerous to halve the SRG budget while at the same time the world was flooded with false information. "We need balanced information and debates in all regions of the country," said Lucerne National Councillor Michael Töngi.

The Greens also rejected the cash initiative, but support the counter-proposal drawn up by the Federal Council and Parliament. Voters will decide on all three proposals next March 8. The climate fund initiative, which originated from the Greens themselves, will also be put to the vote on the same day.
