Islamist Hamas has confirmed an initial agreement with Israel on a settlement to the war in the Gaza Strip. The agreement provides for an end to the fighting in Gaza, a withdrawal of the Israeli military, access for aid supplies and an exchange of hostages and prisoners, according to a statement from the terrorist organization.
