Israel will announce its response to the proposal at a later date, according to the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The hostages were held in the Gaza Strip for more than 15 months.
According to the ceasefire agreement, Hamas must inform Israel 24 hours in advance of the names of the hostages to be released. According to Israeli media, this time female soldiers will also be among the women allowed to return to Israel from the Gaza Strip. In return, dozens of Palestinian prisoners are to be released from Israeli prisons.
Last weekend, Hamas handed over the hostage list late, delaying the start of the ceasefire on Sunday by several hours. Three civilians were released at the time. In exchange, Israel released 90 Palestinians from prison.
