Israel Hamas: Senior member killed in attack in Lebanon

A senior leader of the Islamist Hamas in Lebanon has been killed in an Israeli airstrike, according to the organization. Fatah Sharif Abu al-Amin was killed along with other family members at his home near Tyre, the statement added.

He was the leader of Hamas in Lebanon. The Israeli army initially provided no information on the incident.

In January, Saleh al-Aruri, the second highest-ranking Hamas leader abroad at the time, was killed in an airstrike in Beirut. Hezbollah blamed Israel for the death of the deputy head of Hamas' political bureau.
