The head of the Munich Security Conference (MSC), Christoph Heusgen, has no knowledge of a possible arrival of Russian negotiators in Munich. "We don't know about that either. We have a number of Russians, but they are opposition politicians," said Heusgen on ARD's "Morgenmagazin".

US President Donald Trump had said on Thursday that there would be a meeting in Munich with "high-ranking representatives from Russia, Ukraine and the United States", without giving details. So far, however, Russia has not even been invited to the Security Conference (MSC).

"We know from the German government that no visas have been requested or issued. So we know nothing about it," said Heusgen. And: "In any case, there will be no such meeting on the grounds of the Munich Security Conference here at the Bayerischer Hof."
