Hezbollah fires dozens of rockets at northern Israel

The "Times of Israel" spoke of the "biggest Hezbollah attack on Israel" since the beginning of the month, when the militia began firing rockets at Israel again after a long pause in fighting in response to the killing of Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The US broadcaster CNN had previously reported, citing two Israeli sources familiar with the matter, that Israel was preparing for an expansion of attacks from Iran and Hezbollah during the night. The Israeli broadcaster Channel 12 also reported that the rocket fire from Iran and Hezbollah would be more intense during the night.

Israel's army also reported in the evening that it had begun a new "large-scale wave of attacks" on Hezbollah targets in the suburbs of the Lebanese capital Beirut. The military had previously called on residents there to flee.
