The Israeli military announced that numerous missiles and drones had entered its airspace. The army did not give an exact number. In return, it is attacking the launch sites in Lebanon.

The Israeli army also said that several of the missiles had been intercepted. Fire had broken out in various regions due to the impact of shrapnel and drones. In the north of the country, sirens were wailing in many places. Israeli media reported, citing the army, that more than 200 rockets and 20 drones were fired at northern Israel.

The Lebanese news agency NNA also reported that one person had been killed in an Israeli attack in Hula in southern Lebanon. According to NNA, a woman was also injured in another attack. Hezbollah confirmed the death of one of its members. The man was reportedly from Hula. The militia did not specify how, where and when the fighter was killed.

According to the Israeli military, a high-ranking Hezbollah commander was killed in Lebanon on Wednesday. Israel and the Lebanese Shiite militia Hezbollah have been fighting almost daily since the beginning of the Gaza war. Recently, the intensity of the fighting has increased significantly. There have been casualties on both sides. There are fears that the conflict could escalate. Israel wants Hezbollah to withdraw behind the Litani River, 30 kilometers from the border - as stipulated by a UN resolution. The Iranian-backed militia, on the other hand, does not want to stop its shelling until there is a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
