The Israeli air force has once again carried out heavy attacks on suburbs south of Beirut, causing panic and destruction.

The Israeli Air Force has once again carried out massive attacks on targets in the southern suburbs of Beirut. These attacks began shortly after an evacuation order from the Israeli army and led to at least twelve explosions, as a reporter from the German Press Agency reported. Thick clouds of smoke rose over the suburb of Haret Hreik and the surrounding areas.

In Bir al-Abed, a neighborhood with a strong Hezbollah militia presence, at least one building collapsed, according to Lebanese security sources. The attacks caused great concern in the region.

Panic in schools

Panic broke out at a school in the suburb of Hadath when pupils filmed the clouds of smoke after the explosions and shared the videos on social media. Screams could be heard in the classrooms as parents rushed to the school to get their children to safety.

Since September, the Israeli army has significantly intensified its attacks in Lebanon against the Hezbollah militia. Warplanes regularly bomb targets throughout the country, with the suburbs south of Beirut known as Dahija being particularly frequently hit.
