Israel's army said on request that it was investigating the allegations. In the past, the Israeli military has accused Iran-backed Hezbollah of misusing ambulances and medical teams as a cover to transport weapons and fighters. None of the claims can currently be independently verified.
Hezbollah fires drones
In the evening, the Israeli army reported drone attacks by Hezbollah. Several drones were reportedly intercepted before they reached Israel. The Lebanese militia also fired several missiles, including drones loaded with explosives, towards Israeli soldiers in southern Lebanon, Israel's military also reported. Explosives-laden drones belonging to the Lebanese militia were also detonated in Israeli territory near the border with neighboring Lebanon. There were no casualties. In some places in northern Israel, warning sirens sounded several times because of the incidents.
The current ceasefire agreement allows Israel to take defensive measures against planned, imminent or ongoing attacks, but prohibits offensive operations on Lebanese territory. Israel and Hezbollah accuse each other of violating the ceasefire. The Lebanese government is not a warring party in the conflict.
According to Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, the Israeli military currently controls 68 locations in southern Lebanon.
