According to its own statements, the Israeli air force has attacked Hezbollah targets in Lebanon. A terrorist from the Iranian-backed militia was killed in an attack near Kounin in the south of the country, the military announced. The man had been responsible for coordinating Hezbollah's anti-tank missiles and had led attacks with anti-tank missiles on Israeli territory during the war.

The Ministry of Health in Beirut confirmed the death in Kounin and also reported two deaths and injuries following an Israeli drone attack in the community of Mahrouna near the city of Tyros in the south of the country. Israel's military did not initially provide any details.

Israel and Hezbollah agreed on a ceasefire at the end of November last year after more than a year of mutual shelling. Among other things, the agreement stipulates that the Hezbollah militia will withdraw behind the Litani River about 30 kilometers north of the Israeli-Lebanese border. Nevertheless, the Israeli military attacks its neighboring country almost daily. The attacks repeatedly result in fatalities.
