The Israeli Air Force has reportedly attacked another nuclear facility as part of its major attack on Iran. This was announced by Israeli army spokesman Nadav Shoshani on X without giving further details. The facility in question is a uranium conversion plant, which is necessary for the enrichment of uranium. There was no confirmation of the attack from Iran.

According to the military, Israel had previously struck the underground area of the Natan nuclear facility. A multi-storey enrichment hall with centrifuges, power supply rooms and other supporting infrastructure were located there.

A major Israeli attack on Iranian cities and nuclear facilities has been underway since last night. Iran interpreted the wave of air attacks as a declaration of war and, according to Israel, attempted to attack Israel with 100 drones. Israeli President Izchak Herzog justified the large-scale attack in Iran with an existential threat to the Jewish people.

According to the statement, essential local facilities were destroyed in Natan, "which are essential for the ongoing operation and further advancement of the Iranian regime's nuclear project". Close cooperation between Israeli military intelligence and the air force had led to "significant damage" to the facility.

The Israeli fighter jets' attacks on Natan were based on "precise intelligence information". "This is Iran's largest uranium enrichment facility, which has been working towards the production of nuclear weapons for years and has the necessary infrastructure for military enrichment." Iran, on the other hand, has repeatedly emphasized that its nuclear programme is exclusively for civilian purposes.
